DJ Kenny is talented beyond measures, he know exactly to play the music to keep the audience going. I remember when my uncle came back to Jamaica for the first time in years he wanted to get some yard music to carry with him to America. He wanted specific songs that would soothe his spirit and keep him intact with the island even when he is away. He specifically wanted a mix CD for a famous selector and so I recommended Tony Matterhorn because I heard my friends talking about him and how “bad” he can be with the music. My uncle refused and suggested DJ Kenny –Eva Hype, now I was puzzled because I have never heard of him.

So we went Downtown to find a vendor and of course one was right on hand. Since I have not heard of DJ Kenny my uncle was bent on proving to me that I was missing out on the best mix Reggae CDs ever made. The vendor gave us a listen to the some of the music before we purchased it. When I heard DJ Kenny mixing I was awe stroke I could not believe how undeniably talented he was. The mixing was on different level planes whether to create a romantic mood, a heartbreaking mood or just simply listening to some roots rock Reggae. There are also a compilation of souls, r&b, soca and lots more to choose from. He knew exactly how to place the song in the particular to give the professional feel to the selecting industry.

He was so good that I was prompted to go and visit the website to find out more information abut DJ Kenny and his mixing. Whether he was at a street dance party or in house studio selecting his energy is always right with the music and the people. The way how he arranged the music tells you that he has years of experience and that he take what he does for a living very seriously. He seeks to find out what his listeners want to hear and provide just that. He is a good communicator in that his audiences are always satisfied because he takes the time to observe the environment then he analyses the mood of the people and then he select his songs.

He has an excellent business man because he aims to please at all times. Whenever you listen to him, he able to take you away from this environment musically speaking and control your mind for the entire dance. Once he is the selector for the night you are bound to have a really good time at the party. I was totally enthralled by his talent to control your mind for the entire 90 minutes that he is selecting for. For the first time that I heard DJ Kenny mix CD I realized that he was talented, organized and professionally put together along with him being an excellent communicator with the crowd.

Mark Anthony Myrie better known as Buju Banton grew up in a ghetto society names Salt Lane, Jamaica. Over the years he has become a major influence in reggae and dancehall music. He has succeeded in many areas where others have failed and he has earned his place in history. His name Buju which was used as a nickname for chubby children which Is quite the opposite of his physical status as he is very slim. He however kept Buju as it was given to him by his mother. Banton on the other hand is the name given to a respectable storyteller. It was taken by Myrie as a tribute to his long time favorite DJ Burro Banton. He admired the rough and rugged style of Burro Banton and it helps him develop his own unique ruff style. His mother worked as a vendor and father at a tile factory. He was the last of 15 children and his bloodline is direct from the Maroon’s who were freedom fighters during the time of British enslavement.

In his early age Buju Banton would look at his top artists at local dancehall shows and would imitate them. When he was twelve is started to DJ for the first time under the name Gargamel with Rambo Mango and Sweet Love sound systems. In 1987 his first singles which was produced by Robert French was released titled “The Ruler”. He then continued to rise working with some of the top producers at the time such as Bobby Digital and Winston Riley. At the age of fifteen he release the most controversial song titled “Boom Bye Bye” which was a song dedicated to the murder of homosexuals by burning or shooting. He wrote the song to the people of Jamaica as they faced a boy rape crime. He continued to shine his light and gave us hit after hit, making him a veteran in the business. He has been touring all over the world and has collaborated with many international artists all genres of music but at the same time are known to sticking to the roots.

In 2006 we saw his first album since a decade which was called “Too Bad” and produced by some of the top producers in Jamaica. He showed that his crown was still there and that he hasn’t lost that ruff rugged vocal style which the fans go crazy for. One of the hits of the album was produced by the mighty producers Sly & Robbie on the famous Taxi Riddim titled “Driver A”. He also performed live at the 2007 Cricket World Cup alongside Beres Hammnond and Third World. He has also done colorations with soca artists such as Machel Montano from Trinidad & Tobago which was a major hit.

The reggae mix has today fully become a part of what is called mainstream, meaning that it is being played across the world. The mix CD became very popular through hip-hop music and then slowly worked its way to other types of music we listen to today. You may be familiar with the hip hop mix tapes but it simply cannot be compared to a reggae mix. The reggae mix has a totally different feel to it. Once upon a time this was a small and nonprofit industry but has today come as a norm for artists and DJ’s across the world to produce mixes.

Reggae mix CD’s are made by various sound systems and DJ’s from different parts of the world and not only in the Caribbean as some may think. These mixes have attracted a wide variety of new listeners and performers too. These new fans have help push the music to higher level and from this a production of artist mixes have been done to get a piece of the action. Artists have no problem with this as it is a perfect way to promote themselves and also the music. Many of today’s big reggae dancehall artists have taken part in this venture to gain a higher level of success which was not possible before.

Another reason for the tremendous growth of this Reggae mix CD’s is the extremely low cost. Anyone can afford a mix without having trouble financially. They are also produced at an amazing rate, basically everyday a few Reggae mixes are released from all different parts of the world. These mixes are being played at many different events and also in homes helping to spread the love of reggae music to the four corners of the earth. These mixes are available just as any other CD, either in a store or on the web. Most however are web based due to the ability of spreading it quicker across the world. Many of these DJ’s don’t have the money to distribute across the world so the internet is there for help. Today people who never even listened to reggae before are tuning in and taking part in this journey. The mixes are basically a way to showcase the new and also old reggae and dancehall music of the Caribbean to the whole world. There is no doubt that they have pushed the music into a different level of popularity.

These reggae mix CD’s are something that if you don’t already own you should start. It is quickly growing and helping a lot of people gain more jobs and building new careers. They have done nothing but good and are something to pay close attention to in the future.

It shouldn’t be too difficult for you to find a good reggae CD and it shouldn’t be too expensive to buy one either. A reggae CD doesn’t cost more than other CD’s but plenty of people consider them to be much better and maybe you will agree with them when you’ve listened to a few songs. The songs are great and the rhythms make it impossible to stand still, it makes you want to move with the rhythm.

The price for a reggae CD can vary of course and some shops will offer you lower prices than other shops, and of course it’s a good idea to compare prices before you choose a shop because you might see that the differences are quite big and it’s not a good idea to pay more than you need to. Of course you should make sure that the shop you choose offer good service as well but you know that already.

The first thing you have to decide before you can buy a reggae CD is which singer you would like to listen to on the CD. There are plenty to choose between and since most of them are real good it can be hard do decide which one you would like to hear on your first reggae CD. Of course you can buy more than one CD as well, and that might be a good decision since it will make it easier for you to choose and you will have more to choose between at home when you want to hear some reggae music.

If you’ve bought CD’s online before you’ve probably got a favorite shop where you usually buy all your CD’s, and you can visit that one this time as well. You will probably find plenty of CD’s filled with reggae music there, and if the shop offer good prices you will get them quite cheap as well, and that can be quite important. If it’s possible to save some money you should go for it, because in the end that will be enough money to buy one more reggae CD and that’s great.

Some people think it’s very interesting to read about reggae to learn more about the music style and the culture surrounding it, and you might agree. If you think it would be nice to learn more about this, you should use the Internet connection of yours to search for accurate information on this topic and you will probably find plenty of sites that are worth visiting. Some sites are better than other ones and some will be full of useful information so keep searching until you find the perfect site where you can learn everything about reggae music.

The latest drama to hit the dancehall circuit is a photo of Portmore Empire first lady Lisa Hype giving a “blowjob” to a male who many are speculating that it’s someone from the Gaza.

However, up to late this morning when reggaedancehallvideos.com got the photo it took us quite awhile to believe that it was actually Lisa Hype giving sexual favors to the oposite sex, until we received a statement from Lisa Hype.

You Can Read Her Statement Below:

First, I would like to say that there is no excuse for a picture of that nature to be a part of the public domain. I admit that the picture is real, but it captures a personal act done in the privacy of my bedroom. I don’t know how that got leaked to the media and condemn anyone who would stoop to such a low.

However, I understand that I am a public person, and when I say or do something, either articulated and thought out, it carries weight in the public arena. As a result, I must assume personal responsibility for my actions. I would like to apologise specifically to all my female fans who might be disappointed to see me in this light. However, I don’t apologise for the act itself because it was done with a man that I truly and deeply love and respect, and it was done in the privacy of my bedroom. I did it, so what?

Reggae mixes has become very much a part of the music scene today, firstly introduced in the hip hop scene there is no surprise that all other genres has followed as well. For me I can say that reggae mixes are not the same as ‘’traditional mixes’’, they have a different feel to them and is all together an experience with the uniqueness of reggae music.

Reggae mixes are made by various Dj’s and sound systems across the world and is not only made in the Caribbean. This introduction of mixes as caught the eye of many new customers and also music artists as well. The new consumer base reached by this has done wonders for the promotion of the music, so there is no surprise that the artists themselves are now taking part in this venture as means of promotion. Big artists such as Bounty Killer, Movado and Vybz Kartel are some of the few that have hosted mixes and have giving the Dj’s access to their latest music as means of promotion.

Reggae mixes has also grown tremendously due to the extremely low cost and in these times everyone wants to save money. Reggae mixes are made almost every day from America all the way to Japan, the mixes are truly a bonus for the music scene. It has found itself being played by everyone, be it at the home or even at a party spreading the reggae vibe all the way. Mixes are also web based, not being sold on cd’s which serves to many benefits to all who put their mixes and for those who spend their money to purchase these mixes.

The reggae mixes are indeed a must have and is continuously growing worldwide, they are quickly picking up speed and has done nothing but good to the reggae music scene and shall no doubt continue to do much greater things in the future. It can be easily found anywhere from your street corner to the internet, easily accessible and rite at your finger tips.
